Rick Mercer Stole from my blog!
ok, let me start by saying.. of course I have no proof, nor do i profess that the great Rick Mercer would stoop to petty wordtheft from someone as uncommited-to-my-writing as I, however, Tonights episode of RMR feature, of Mr. Mercer's Rant bore strange resemblences to my previous posts.

Rick seemed to paraphrase my people likening an escalator ride to a happy fun park ride.. with his theatrical embeleshments...

Where Rick took my notices to transit riders and likened that to elevator riders...
Was he stealing? is one of my dozens of readers Rick himself? or do we simply share ideals and views of right vs wrong? is this a bridge between the east coast and alberta? Do we all really share that much in common??
Well, Mr Mercer, some great hackers once said, information should be free, as long as it's interesting.. feel free to grab some of my other stuff, perhaps the vending machine story, it was one of my more inspired tales..

I watched Rick Mercer's elevator rant and I think that it's a stretch to claim that he stole from your blog.
Sure, its the same idea. However, I think its safe to say that those sentiments about public transit etiquette are fairly ubiquitous among most socially aware riders.
No one person can lay claim to that idea (even if its been put in writing) any more than one could claim to be the first to hate being splashed by a passing car.
